Cadence

Cadence is a music utility app for Android. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Microphone Access

Cadence requests access to your device's microphone for two features:

• Tuner – listens to audio in real time to detect the pitch of a note being played.
• Key Finder – listens to audio in real time to detect notes and identify a musical key.

All audio processing is performed entirely on your device using the TarsosDSP library. No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted off your device. Microphone access is only active while you have explicitly tapped "Start Tuning" or "Start Detection" and is stopped immediately when you tap the stop button or leave the screen.

Data We Collect

Cadence collects no personal data of any kind. Specifically:

• No account or login is required.
• No analytics or crash reporting SDKs are included.
• No advertising SDKs are included.
• No data is sent to any server.
• No data is stored on your device beyond the app's normal runtime state.

Third-Party Libraries

Cadence uses the following open-source libraries, none of which collect or transmit user data:

• TarsosDSP – audio pitch detection, runs locally.
• Jetpack Compose – Android UI framework by Google.

Children's Privacy

Cadence does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date at the top.
